Set up Live Captions with Verkada Intercoms

Live Captions lets you read spoken audio in real time during an Intercom call on Desk Station and the iOS Pass and Command apps.

Before You Start

• Captions appear in the language spoken by the visitor. Live Captions does not translate speech.

• Supported languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian, Dutch

You need Org Admin permissions to enable this feature.

Enable Live Captions

In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Intercom.

In the left navigation, select Intercom Settings.

Toggle on Enable Live Captions.

Once enabled, Live Captions works automatically on all Desk Stations and in the Pass and Command iOS apps.

Disable Live Captions

When you enable Live Captions globally, all Desk Stations and iOS apps automatically opt in. You can disable the feature on individual devices if needed.

Open the Desk Station app.

In the top right, tap ⋯.

Toggle off Live Captions.

iOS Pass app

During a call, tap ⓘ .
