Enable and use Wi-Fi on select Verkada cameras
To enable and use Wi-Fi on Verkada cameras, there a few requirements to follow:
Wi-Fi must be enabled at the organization level. Contact Verkada Support with support token to enable Wi-Fi.
The camera must be connected to an Ethernet network and must be online to receive the Wi-Fi configuration.
It is possible to enable Wi-Fi and configure your Service Set ID (SSID) and password if the device is offline, but it needs to connect to a wired network to pull this new configuration.
If the SSID or password changes for the Wi-Fi network, you must preconfigure the new Wi-Fi network on the camera or use a wired network to reconfigure the camera. If the camera is offline, it will not pull a new wireless configuration.
Enable camera Wi-Fi
The camera retains this configuration on reboot. You can confirm which connection is in use via the checkbox
next to the network name.
