Receivers are the mode by which calls are answered and accepted in Verkada Intercom. Calls made at the Intercom (TD52) are then sent to a receiver. The receiver is what accepts the call.

Three types of receivers:

Receivers are what receives a call from the Intercom when the Intercom call button is pressed.

  • Front Desk Stations

    • The front desk station is a a tablet running the intercom app. When a call is made to a front desk station then an individual watching the tablet will see the caller on screen and have the option to speak to and unlock the door for the caller.

  • Phone Numbers

    • using a Phone Number for the receiver allows a caller to reach someone via a phone call. the receiver then has the option to speak to the caller and unlock the door for the caller using a combination of keys or numbers.

  • Users

    • a User is any access user in your organisation. When a call is made then the user will receive a call to their Verkada Pass App. When the user opens the pass app they will have a view of the caller and have the option to speak to and unlock the door for the caller.

Add Receivers

  1. Select "Add receivers" from the setup checklist or select "Receivers" from the top of the page.

    1. The receiver page contains a list of steps that the intercom will take in order to contact a receiver.

  2. Select a receiver type from the drop down list.

    1. when a receiver is added, a call list is created, the call list contains a set of steps, each step contains a set of receivers.

    2. multiple receivers and receiver types can be added per step. A step is a set of receivers that the intercom will call. If the receivers in one step don't answer then the intercom will move to the next step.

  3. Enable a schedule for the call lists by selecting "Enable Schedule"

    1. the schedule enforces times when the intercom will allow a call to occur.

    2. When "Enable Schedule" is selected then a call list titled "Off-Hour Call List is automatically made. Additional call lists can be made by selecting "Add a Call List" at the bottom of the call lists.

  4. Once a receiver has been added and a schedule enabled then the intercom will be able to begin creating calls.

Add / Edit / Delete Schedules

  1. Select "Receivers" at the top the page, once on the Receiver page the call schedule will show in your web browser.

  2. To add a schedule select "Schedule a Call List" in the upper right of the schedule, this will also create a new call list

  3. Editing Schedules:

    1. To Edit a call list's schedule select any existing segment of time on the schedule or select anywhere else on the schedule.

      1. when the schedule is selected a new window showing "Edit Schedule" will appear.

      2. Use the edit schedule menu to:

        1. Choose which call list is affected

        2. what times and days calls will be allowed

        3. delete a schedule

      3. Clear all schedules by selecting the settings button in the upper right corner and select "Clear Schedules"

      4. Disable a schedule by selecting the setting button in the upper right corner of the schedule window. Selecting "Disable Schedule" will reveal a dropdown to choose the schedule that will be disabled.

  4. Deleting Schedules:

    1. Hover over the existing schedule, an 'x' should appear to the left of the schedule. Select the 'x' to delete that segment of the schedule

    2. Select any segment of an existing schedule, a menu will appear with the option to select "Delete"

Add / Edit / Delete Call Lists

  1. Select "Receivers" from the top of the page, once on the Receiver page scroll down to the bottom of your call lists

  2. select "Add" from "Add a Call List"

  3. Editing a call list:

    1. to change the name of your call list select the name, once the name is selected it can be changed from the default.

  4. Deleting call lists, steps, or receivers

    1. to delete call lists, steps, or receivers, select the "x" to the right of any of the names or steps.
