Switch Organizations in Command
Learn how to switch between more than one organization in Verkada Command
When you are a part of multiple organizations, your user account is separate for each organization (abbreviated as org for the purpose of this article). This allows for more granular control of user accounts by the Organization Admins (Org Admins), such as requiring 2-factor authentication.
Specify an org’s short name
An org’s short name is a unique identifier for that org and used to specify the org you log in to.
If you are a part of 2 or more orgs, when you log in to Verkada Command, you must specify the org’s short name to indicate which org you are logging in to. Once logged in, if you have verified your email, you can switch between all organizations you are a part of.
You can also use a Magic Link Login to log in to all of your password-only orgs at once.
Find your short name
Via email
When you log in to Verkada Command, if you don’t know the short name, click Email me a list to request an email list, along with email verification links for each org.
While logged in
To find the short name of the org you’re logged in to:

Switch between orgs
If you have created organizations in different regions, you will notice a separate list for United States, Europe, and Australia, depending on which region the organization is hosted.
Important: You are required to log in to your other orgs when changing to a new org, unless you have authenticated recently within the org’s session time limit.
Unable to see all of your orgs
You may find that not all of the orgs you belong to appear in the list when you select the org name at the top left. This can happen when your email is not verified in each of the orgs.
To solve this:
Check to see if your email has a green checkmark next to it. If you do not see this checkmark, verify your email.
