Create a Floorplan
Learn how to configure your floorplans in Verkada Command
Floorplans help you plan and visualize your Verkada system. This feature can help you detect active motion and historical activity hotspots using heat maps. You can connect cameras, air quality sensors, and access-controlled doors so you can quickly view your devices directly from the floorplan.

Add a device
The devices you place on the floorplan inherit the GPS coordinates from the underlying Google Map. If you edit the location of a floorplan, Command prompts you to also move all devices placed on the floorplan. The devices will be assigned new GPS coordinates based on the new position of the floorplan. If you change a camera’s location from the camera’s settings page it will remove it from the floorplan.

The direction of a camera’s field of view does not always match the direction shown on the floorplan. If this is the case for your floorplan, you can manually set the orientation of the camera icon for greater accuracy.
