SimonsVoss SmartIntego Setup Guide

Set up Verkada’s integration with SimonsVoss’ SmartIntego wireless locks

Verkada supports an integration with SimonsVoss SmartIntego locks. This integration includes the SmartIntego handles, cylinders, and padlocks.

GatewayNode and panel installation

A GatewayNode is a wireless SmartIntego hub that connects with SmartIntego locks. It communicates with a Verkada AC12 panel over TCP/IP, requiring both devices to be on the same local network. In this setup, the AC12 panel acts as the client, while the GatewayNode functions as the server, with the AC12 connecting via TCP port 2101.

Lock installation and SmartIntego configuration

To receive door status events in Command when using a Digital Smart Handle with Door Monitoring, configure the lock to send door status data to Verkada. Open the Door Monitoring settings for the Smart Handle in the SmartIntego Tool and enable the following:

  • Read interval for the door sensorics (sec) is set to a value that is not Off.

  • Under Transmission of Events ensure the following are checked:

    • Door open events

    • Lock bolt events

    • Door handle events

Command configuration

Once the AC12 is connected to the hub(s), which are connected to the lock(s), and the hub(s) and lock(s) have been brought up using the SmartIntego tool, you are ready to start bringing these devices into Verkada Command.

1

Add a new AC12 to Command.

2

During AC12 setup, set Device Mode to Simons Voss.
