Learn how to take a screenshot of live camera feeds and historical video

Verkada cameras have a screenshot toolthat can be very useful when you want to take a quick still-image capture of something happening on a live stream or historical video.

Take a screenshot of video feed at a specific time

  1. In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Cameras.

  2. Select a camera.

  3. Click the camera iconto capture the video feed at that exact time.

    The screenshot is automatically downloaded to your device as a .jpg file for you to open and share. The screenshot includes the camera name, date, and time at the top left corner.

Take a screenshot of the live feed

  1. In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Cameras.

  2. Select a camera.

  3. Wait for the stream to play.

  4. Click the camera iconto capture the video feed at that exact time.

Take a screenshot of historical footage

  1. In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Cameras.

  2. Select a camera.

  3. Select a historical video clip.

  4. Click the camera iconto capture the video feed at that exact time.

Take a screenshot on Command mobile app

  1. Open the Verkada Command app.

  2. Tap to select any camera.

  3. Tap the live stream of the camera.

  4. Tap the full screen icon.

  5. Tap the camera iconto save the screenshot to your device's photos app.
