Set up Verkada Alerts for Microsoft Teams

This document will serve as a setup guide for configuring Verkada alerts for Microsoft Teams. Through this integration, users will be able to receive any alerts that are generated by Verkada Command, including Person of Interest events, AI-powered alerts, door forced open events, TVOC alerts, and more!

You need to enable permissions for third-party apps to be installed on the Teams platform before you can set up the Verkada integration.


Command configuration

  1. In Command, go to All Products > Admin.

  2. In the left navigation, select Org Settings > Verkada API and Integrations.

  3. Under Integrations, click Add Integration.

  4. Select Microsoft Teams.

    1. This will redirect you to the sign-in page for Microsoft Teams. Enter your email address and password associated with your Microsoft account.

    2. Review the requested permissions required for this integration and click Accept.

  5. When creating a new alert or editing an existing alert, users will now be able to add their Microsoft Teams account as a recipient to their configured alert. These alerts will be sent directly to the user who has configured the notification. Learn more about setting up Verkada device alerts here!
