Alarms Licensing

Monitor your devices with Alarm licensing options

Updated over a month ago

This article is a guide for new Alarms. Refer to this article if you have classic Alarms. See New Alarms vs Classic Alarms if you are unsure which version of Alarms you have.

Alarm licensing is imperative for an organization to monitor the number of devices that the organization has and the number of licenses a customer maintains.

License tiers

Each physical site address requires an Alarm license. Verkada offers two Alarm license tiers with different monitoring capabilities. Both license tiers include complete access to the full Verkada Alarms platform:

  • Alarm responses—Police dispatch, talk down, automated deterrence devices.

  • System settings—Set arm/disarm schedules, assign or revoke user key codes, and more.

FAQ

What if an alarm site raises over 15 alarms in 1 calendar month?

Verkada will warn end users when the limit is reached. Alarms will function normally through month-end. If an alarm site exceeds 15 alarms the following month, additional alarms will be sent directly to contacts instead of the monitoring center.

What if I need more than 15 cameras?

If more than 15 cameras are needed in a site you can stack LIC-BX-MA licenses to reach the needed number of cameras.
