Privacy and Security Disclosure

Learn how to enable privacy features to secure your Verkada Command organization

Privacy and security disclosures enable you to view which Verkada products are installed, what analytics features are enabled, and which features your organization has opted not to use to preserve privacy.

Create a disclosure

You can create one disclosure for your entire organization or you can create individual disclosures for each site depending on the features being used at those locations.

In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Admin.

In the left navigation, select Data Privacy > Public Disclosures.

At the top, click the disclosure dropdown and select Create New.

On the Create Disclosure panel:

a. Required. Enter the site name and select a site for this disclosure. b. Upload your company logo.

c. (Optional) Toggle on additional information (Feature Usage, Contact Info, Privacy Policy), as needed.

When you’re done, at the top right, click Publish. You’ll see a disclosure preview to confirm.

Share your disclosure

Once you publish the disclosure, you can share it.

On your preview page, at the top right, click the meatball (3 vertical dots) icon.

From the list, you can choose a share method that generates one of these:

  • QR Code—Downloadable QR code that can be physically posted around the site or shared over the internet.

  • Copy Link—Hyperlink that can be shared over the internet and provides a web version of the disclosure.

  • Print—Downloadable PDF of the privacy disclosure that can be printed.

Once you publish your privacy disclosure, the link is publicly available, but not advertised or automatically shared. If you plan to use the hyperlink to share the Privacy Disclosure, you need to publicize it yourself.
