For more convenient Verkada Guest user management, you can enable third-party app integrations with Slack and Microsoft Teams so you can be notified when a guest checks in to your organization.
Integrate Guest app with Slack
In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Guest .
On the left navigation, click Guest Settings.
On the left, scroll down to Notifications and select Connect to Slack.
When you are prompted to allow access to the Verkada Slack workspace, click Allow.
On Slack, search for the Verkada Guest app and add it to your account. You should then be able to receive Guest notifications via Slack.
Integrate Guest app with Microsoft Teams
Required. You must have Global Administrator or Privileged Role Administrator permissions in Microsoft Teams to enable this feature.
In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Guest.
On the left navigation, click the Guest Settings (gear) icon.
On the left, scroll down to Notifications and select Connect to MS Teams.
When you are prompted to sign in to Microsoft, click Next.
Accept the permissions to allow Guest to integrate with Teams.
On Microsoft Teams, search for the Verkada Guest app and add it to your account. You should then be able to receive notifications via Teams.
Enable all third-party apps
If you have third-party apps disabled, by default, for your Microsoft account, follow these steps to change your account settings:
Click Actions and select Org-wide settings.
On Org-wide app settings, ensure that Third-party apps is enabled.
Enable only Verkada Guest third-party apps
Navigate to: https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/policies/manage-apps.
Locate the Verkada Guest app in the list.
Assign to the group permitted to install.
