Verkada's License Plate of Interest (LPOI) feature allows you to define a list of license plates that will trigger an alert when detected.
To streamline and manage your License Plate of Interest (LPOI) list, you can:
Categorize and organize profiles using custom tags.
Quickly find POI profiles by searching tags.
Create custom tags for your POI profiles and then associate those profiles to those tags.
Configure LPOI
You must be a Site Admin for at least one (1) site in your organization to create an LPOI event. Learn more about roles and permissions for Command users.
In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Cameras.
On the left navigation, select Vehicles.
At the top, click the License Plates of Interest tab.
On the toolbar, click Add .
On the Add License Plate of Interest dialog, enter a plate number and unique name.
Click Save to finalize the License Plate of Interest.
Alternatively, you can toggle License Plate of Interest on any license plate entry in the All License Plates view.
Associate an LPOI to a POI
You can associate License Plate of Interest profiles with Person of Interest profiles. This makes it easier to review events when you investigate a specific person.
In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Cameras.
On the left navigation, select People .
At the top, click the People of Interest tab.
Select a person of interest.
On the left, next to License Plate click .
Select a license plate to add it to the profile.
Alternatively, if the plate is not already added to the Command, type the plate number into the search bar and click Create a License Plate of Interest.
Configure alerts
In Verkada Command, on the left navigation, click Alerts.
Next to My Alerts or Shared Alerts, click .
Leave Camera (default) selected in the Alert setup window.
Select License Plate of Interest and click Next.
On Cameras, choose to receive license plate alerts from All Cameras, Sites, or Individual Cameras.
On License Plates of Interest, select All or Specific License Plates.
On Recipients, you can search for or select other Command users individually or you can assign the alert to a group.
Any recipient added to this alert will see it appear under the Shared Alerts section of their Alerts page.
Recipients can be notified either via a push notification, SMS, or email.
By default, you will be added to the alert created. To remove yourself, select the dropdown menu and click Delete.
On Notification Schedule, you must specify what days and times you want alerts to be sent. By default, events are generated 24/7.
Click Next on the bottom right of the configuration window once you have configured all the desired alert settings.
Enter a descriptive name for the alert.
Click Done and you will start to receive alerts.
LPOI is configured on a per-organization basis. The LPOI list is shared among all users of the organization. Email and SMS notifications are configured on a per-user basis. When you enable SMS or email notifications, you will get notifications for all LPOIs in the organization.
