Environmental Sensor Settings
From the Environmental Sensor Home Page, find the sensor you would like to modify and click on it to go to the Sensor Settings Detail Page.
To edit the Verkada Sensor's settings from the Sensor Details Page, select the gear icon in the top right of the sensor page.
This will open the Verkada sensor's settings menu.
Just like Verkada cameras, Verkada sensors can be added to a site or sub-site to define permissions.
To add a Verkada sensor to a site, select the Change button under Site and then choose your preferred site.
To set the location of the Verkada sensor, select the change under Location. This will bring up a map and search bar.
From here, you can type in an address or move the map to set the Verkada sensor location. Be sure to select Save to confirm the location settings.
This is the unique identifier for your Verkada sensor, used to claim the device to your Command organization.
Enabled Sensor Readings
Check out this article for a detailed explanation of all the sensor readings. Within the Enabled Sensor Readings section, the following readings can be enabled:
Temperature - Room temperature
Humidity - Room humidity
Motion - Motion detected by the PIR sensor
Noise Level - Noise level in the room in dB
PM 2.5 - Fine particulate level measured in micrograms per cubic meter
Tamper - Detect if the sensor is being tampered with
TVOC - Volatile organic compound level in the air measured in parts per billion
Air Quality Index - U.S. Air Quality Index, derived from multiple sensors
Vape Index - A combined index that represents the likelihood that someone is vaping in the vicinity of the sensor
To enable a reading, simply select the reading under the Enabled Sensor Readings header. When a given reading is active, it will have a black checkmark next to it. To disable a reading, deselect the checkbox. The checkmark inside the checkbox will disappear.
Use Celsius for Temperature
If you wish to view your temperature readings in Celsius, there is an extra option to change under Temperature labeled Unit and select the unit format that you are most accustomed to.
Please note, this setting is changed for all users who can view this sensor.
To change the timezone in which the sensor data is displayed is based on the location as specified under location.
Sensor Offline Notifications
You can set notifications for when the Verkada sensor goes offline.
You can select users to send these notifications to by using the Search users bar. Type the user's name and select the user(s) from the list by clicking on the checkbox. A checkmark will be placed next to the user's name.
To remove users, select the X next to their name below the search bar.
You can make the sensor flash blue and orange for a short amount of time to locate it in a room by using the Identify button
Delete this Sensor
To delete the Verkada sensor from your organization, click the Delete button, then enter the verification code below to confirm your request.
Please note, deleting the device from your organization will unclaim the device, and anyone who has the serial number can claim it in their organization.
