Manage QR Codes for Mobile Sign-In

Allow visitors to check in beyond tablets

Mobile sign-in QR codes let visitors complete sign-in directly from their phones. Admins can enable this feature to streamline check-in for large groups.


Short-lived QR codes

You must be at least Workplace Site Admin to enable short-lived QR codes.

Short-lived QR codes appear on the Guest app start screen and link to a sign-in page that refreshes daily.

  1. In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Guest .

  2. On the left navigation, click Guest Settings .

  3. At the top, select Sites > your site.

  4. Under Details, toggle Short-lived QR codes.


Long-lived QR codes

You must be an Org Admin to enable long-lived QR codes.

Organizations can print long-lived QR codes and post them at sign-in locations. These codes link to a sign-in page that remains active for one year or until revoked.

  1. In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Guest .

  2. On the left navigation, click Guest Settings .

  3. At the top, select Organization.

  4. Under Security & Data, toggle on Enable printing long-lived QR Codes.

Manage long-lived QR codes

A user must be at least a Workplace Site Viewer to print and revoke long-lived QR codes for a Guest site.

Print

  1. In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Guest .

  2. In the top right, select Get QR code.

    1. Click Print a sign-in badge.

    2. The QR code will pop up in a separate window for you to print.

Revoke

  1. In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Guest .

  2. In the top right, select Get QR code.

    1. Click Revoke QR Codes.

    2. Click Revoke.

This will revoke all previously printed sign-in QR codes.
