Guest features a tablet configuration specific to healthcare visitor management. In this configuration, a hospital may use a tablet to sign in inpatient visitors, sign in outpatient visitors, and verify visitors at restricted units.
Download the Guest app
Download the Verkada Guest app on an iPad running iOS 14 or newer.
Once installed, the Guest app displays a 6-character code. Save this code to add the tablet to Verkada Command.
Add a Guest tablet for Healthcare
In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Guest .
Select Guest Settings. Navigate to a site with Healthcare Enabled and scroll to Tablets.
Click Add Tablet.
Enter the 6-character code from the tablet and click Add this iPad.
Configure tablet for Healthcare
Navigate to Guest Settings > Sites > Tablets, and select the desired tablet.
Under Tablet Settings, select Healthcare.
Select a camera
Hospitals can use either the front or rear iPad camera to scan visitors' photo IDs.
Navigate to Guest Settings > Sites > Tablets, and select the desired tablet.
Select the drop-down menu for Photo ID Scan and choose the desired camera.
Select secondary checkpoint
To use a healthcare tablet to verify visitors of a restricted unit, the tablet must be assigned to a secondary checkpoint.
Navigate to Guest Settings > Sites > Tablets, and select the desired tablet.
Select the drop-down menu for Checkpoint and choose the desired checkpoint.
Selecting the primary checkpoint with the same name as the Guest Site will ensure the tablet is dedicated to sign-in alone. Tablets assigned to the primary checkpoint are typically used for sign-in at the entrance of a hospital.
