Similar to alert notifications for cameras, you can enable alert notifications for access control events.
Before you begin
Requirement. To configure alerts, you must be an Access Admin and a Site Access Admin. Learn how to edit a user's access permissions.
Note: Alerts for Door Opened, Door Held Open (DHO), Door Forced Open (DFO), or Tailgating events only trigger if you have a Door Position Indicator (DPI) installed.

Configure alerts
You can create all alerts from the Alerts page or the Admin page (see example workflow below). For both options, see Alerts page for details.
In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Admin > Manage Alerts.
To create your first alert, select New Alert.
Search for the site, devices, or events to manage and create. All of your alerts across all product lines are managed and created from this dialog and path. The process is broken down into 4 steps:
Events—Events you want to include in the alert (type, device, site).
Recipients—Designated people who can receive alerts and form of communication.
Schedule—When alerts are scheduled to be sent.
Settings—Name and description of the alert.
Select Access Control > Next.
