# LLDP mit Kameras verwenden

Verkada-Kameras unterstützen das Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP). LLDP ist ein standardisiertes Protokoll der Sicherungsschicht, das in verschiedenen Netzwerkgeräten verwendet wird, um deren Identität, Fähigkeiten und Nachbarn in einem lokalen Netzwerk (LAN) bekannt zu geben.

Der Hauptvorteil der Verwendung von LLDP besteht darin, Netzwerkintegrationen und die Fehlerbehebung zu verwalten. Ein Netzwerkadministrator kann beispielsweise schnell erkennen, welches Verkada-Gerät mit einem bestimmten Switch-Port verbunden ist, oder eine Richtlinie so konfigurieren, dass der Port basierend auf bestimmten LLDP-Informationen automatisch neu konfiguriert wird.

Verkada-Kameras geben alle 30 Sekunden die folgenden Informationen bekannt:

* Geräte-ID
* Firmwareversion
* Seriennummer
* Herstellername (Verkada)
* Modellname
* Extreme Fabric Connect TLV
* Fähigkeiten zur automatischen Aushandlung
