# Wide Dynamic Range

Wide dynamic range (WDR) improves image quality in high-contrast lighting conditions. It enhances image quality by brightening dark areas and dimming bright ones. This results in a more balanced image that captures details in both well-lit and poorly-lit environments.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Select WDR and choose one of the following options:**

a. ON\
b. DAY ONLY\
c. OFF

<div align="left" data-with-frame="true"><img src="/files/7Tho9EoedcYT3luzdg9f" alt="" width="173"></div>
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Select DAY ONLY if image quality is reduced in night mode. WDR enhances contrast between light and dark areas, which can make night mode images appear darker.
{% endhint %}
