# License Plate of Interest Alerts

Verkada’s License Plate of Interest (LPOI) feature allows you to define a list of license plates that will trigger an alert when detected.

To streamline and manage your License Plate of Interest (LPOI) list, you can:

* Categorize and organize profiles using custom tags.
* [Easily create and maintain alerts for specific plates.](#configure-alerts)
* Quickly find POI profiles by searching tags.
* Create custom tags for your POI profiles and then associate those profiles with those tags.
* [Associate POI profiles with LPOI profiles.](#associate-an-lpoi-with-a-poi)

{% hint style="warning" %}
LPOI is configured on a per-organization basis. The LPOI list is shared among all users of the organization. Email and SMS notifications are configured on a per-user basis. When you enable SMS or email notifications, you will get notifications for all LPOIs in the organization.
