Connect an iPad with a Brother Printer with Bluetooth for Verkada Guest

Verkada Guest supports printing label badges for visitors. The Brother printer is a monochrome label printer supported by Verkada Guest. There are several ways to connect an iPad running Verkada Guest with a Brother printer. Using Bluetooth allows organizations to keep the Brother printer off the network.

Before You Begin

The following printer models are supported for connecting to an iPad using Bluetooth:

  • Brother QL820-NWBc (recommended)

  • Brother QL820-NWB

  • Brother QL1110-NWBc

  • Brother QL1110-NWB


Add a Brother Printer to Verkada Guest with Bluetooth

Get the printer menu code from Command

Get the printer menu pin code from Verkada Command to enter the settings menu of your tablet.

In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Workplace > Guest.

On the left navigation, select Guest Settings .

At the top, select Sites > your site.

Select Printers to view the random PIN code for the selected site. To create your own code, enter a 4-digit code and click Update.

Connect to a Brother Printer with Bluetooth

For the Brother QL820-NWB and QL820-NWBc, Bluetooth can be enabled directly from the printer’s interface.

On the printer, click Menu > Bluetooth (6/7) > Bluetooth (ON/OFF) > ON.

On the iPad, navigate to Settings > Bluetooth.

Tap the option for the Brother printer.

Open the Guest app, tap and hold the bottom right corner for about 3 seconds to display the PIN pad.

Enter the PIN from Command to get to the printer menu page. After a few seconds, a printer option will appear on this page.

Tap the printer option to connect.
