# Brother Printer Setup Guide

The Brother QL-820NWBc is a monochrome label printer supported by Verkada Guest and Mailroom. This is a thermal printer and requires thermal label rolls. To print labels automatically, the printers can be connected to the iPads through several different methods.

## Unbox a Brother QL-820NWBc

Brother printers ordered directly from Verkada will include a new Brother QL-820NWBc in the manufacturer’s packaging. This package will also include a sample black/red on white roll, but the ACCX-LBL-PRT-1 black & white label rolls are recommended.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Remove the printer from the box.**
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Prepare the coin cell battery. This battery is used to maintain settings for the internal clock. While the printer is off:**

a. Open the roll compartment cover.\
b. Remove the insulation seal on the coin cell battery.

## Set up the printer’s network connection

QL-820NWBc printers can be connected to wireless networks. The Brother QL-820NWBc only supports connections to 2.4 GHz wireless band. To connect your printer:

**Use the arrows to navigate to WLAN (5/7) > WLAN (on/off) > select On and press OK.**
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Under WLAN (5/7), use the arrows to navigate to Infra Manual Setting. The printer will search for nearby SSIDs.**
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
