# Create Events Directly From Google Calendar on Chrome

The Verkada Guest Chrome Extension lets employees with a Google Workspace Business Account schedule events from Google Calendar and link them to Verkada Guest. Guest automatically collects visitor information before the event.

## Install the Verkada Guest Chrome Extension

You must have a **Chrome Enterprise Admin** role to install and manage Google Chrome extensions.

[Sign in](https://admin.google.com/) **to the Google Admin console.**

**Go to the Verkada Guest Chrome Extension on** [**Chrome Web Store**](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/verkada-guest-chrome-exte/cpomoaaekmebggkkbdbmdgmhifmkkbgl)**.**

**From the menu, select Devices > Chrome > Apps & Extensions.**&#x20;

**Click Users & Browsers.**

**Choose who you want to automatically install the app for.**

## Log in to the Verkada Guest Extension

An employee must be listed as a **Host** in Guest to use the Chrome Extension.

Employees will need to log in to the Verkada Guest extension before they can create Guest Events.&#x20;

## Create Guest Events from Google Calendar

When creating meetings in Google Calendar, employees can choose to create a Guest Event from the meeting. This will send registration emails to all external invitees on the meeting. A Guest Event based on the Google Calendar meeting will show on Command and the Employee Portal.&#x20;

**Create an event on Google Calendar.**

The event title, location, description, and list of invitees will be included in the Verkada Guest Event details.

**Toggle on Create an event in Verkada Guest.**

Choose a Guest site and a Guest Type.

**Click Save as Verkada Guest Event.**

### Update Google Calendar Events

Event details can be changed from Google Calendar and updated in Guest.&#x20;

**Select Edit event.**

**Make changes to the event, then select Save as Verkada Guest Event.**

Newly added invitees will immediately receive registration emails.&#x20;

Changing the Guest site, Guest Type, and the event start time to an earlier time will void all registrations, and a new registration email is immediately sent to all invitees. **All invitees must re-register.**
