# Add Cellular Gateway

You need to add your gateway to a standard (non-Government Solutions) Command organization to update before you can commission it in a Government Solutions organization.

You must create a [Verkada Command account](https://command.verkada.com/register) and log in with [Org Admin](https://app.gitbook.com/s/NRq5qDDjsYNxwNzF1bcB/users-and-permissions/roles-and-permissions-for-command) permissions to activate and configure a gateway.
