The AX11 can be used to integrate multiple additional 3rd party sensors, switches, and peripherals, which can then be managed through Command in our intuitive centralized web-based interface.
Installation
Follow the steps in this guide for the hardware installation steps.
Command Configuration Steps
Add the device serial to Command
Configure the site, location, and name of the device and select Activate
From the AX11's device page select + Add Input and select the input type which can be either a door monitor or aux input
Door monitor configuration steps:
On the Name tab, enter the desired name and select Next
On the Hardware tab, next to Door Position Indicator select the desired port for this input
(Optional) You can also configure the location and a nearby camera from the Hardware tab if desired
On the Settings tab, toggle on Monitor Door Held Open Events (DHO) and configure the desired Door held for time (the default is 60s)
Select Done to save
Aux input configuration steps:
On the Name tab, enter the desired name and select Next
On the Hardware tab, configure the desired Port and Connection Type
(Optional) You can also configure the location and a nearby camera from the Hardware tab if desired
On the Settings tab, select the desired Input Type
Intercoms and door buzzers can unlock doors using an auxiliary input. For the Intercom input type select + Add Door to add the door(s) this input will unlock. Only doors within the same site can be selected.
Panic buttons can trigger a lockdown scenario for an alarm site. For the Panic Button input type select the desired lockdown next to Active Emergency Scenario
Note: You will have to have a lockdown scenario preconfigured before you can use the panic button input type.
Aux monitors let you log events when the input signal is high. For the Aux Monitor input type, toggle on the desired settings.
Note: You can go back and add a camera to this input to gain more context on this triggered event. If you already left this setup window, you can add the camera on the input's Settings page.
Elevator configuration steps:
On the Name tab, enter the desired name and select Next
On the Location tab, select the building the elevator is in
On the Hardware tab, configure the number of readers and which output each floor is connected to
(Optional) You can also configure a nearby camera from the Hardware tab if desired
On the Settings tab, configure the desired unlock time and if remote unlock is desired.
With 16 inputs and 16 outputs, the AX11 IO controller is designed to add flexibility to existing access control systems. Customers will have more options to remotely lock or unlock doors, monitor entryways, and secure critical assets. Moreover, events generated by the AX11 can be cross-referenced with security camera footage and ingested by our alarms and professional monitoring offering to make any Verkada deployment even more integrated and scalable.
