All Verkada devices require an internet connection to work. A network that has a low throughput will negatively affect the performance and usability of our products. When troubleshooting poor performance, Support may ask you for a throughput of the network. For a detailed breakdown of the bandwidth needed for each of our products click here.

How to run a throughput test

  1. Navigate to a camera

  2. Click the Info button

  3. Click Settings

  4. Click Camera Diagnostics

  5. Click View Live Data to enable the throughput test

  6. Select the time duration for the throughput test

While the test runs you will see a bandwidth graph to populate. Hovering your mouse cursor over lines will show you the upload and download speeds from that camera.
