All Verkada devices require an internet connection to work. A network that has a low throughput will negatively affect the performance and usability of our products. When troubleshooting poor performance, Support may ask you for a throughput of the network. For a detailed breakdown of the bandwidth needed for each of our products click here.
How to run a throughput test
- Navigate to a camera
- Click the Info button
- Click Settings
- Click Camera Diagnostics
- Click View Live Data to enable the throughput test
- Select the time duration for the throughput test
While the test runs you will see a bandwidth graph to populate. Hovering your mouse cursor over lines will show you the upload and download speeds from that camera.
