The Search page is used to view all people, faces, and vehicles seen by every camera in the organization. This can be used to quickly and easily determine where and when a particular person or vehicle was last seen, find new faces that have been seen, and quickly configure notifications when specific people or vehicles are sighted.
How to Access
To access the Search Page, select Search on the left-hand menu. From here, you can access the following features:
People
From the All Products menu select Cameras then People.
From this page, you will see all the people sighted on cameras in your org. Selecting a thumbnail will play a clip from the camera this person was sighted on. Each thumbnail image includes a timestamp and the camera name.
From the search bar in the top left-hand corner, you can filter for options such as camera, site, date, etc. to narrow down your search.
See this article for a detailed explanation of how to search for people using our mobile apps.
Profiles
If you switch to the Profiles tab you will see all the profiles created in your org. Selecting a profile will open that person's profile page and will show thumbnail images for all the instances where that person was last sighted. Each thumbnail image includes a timestamp and the camera name. To view the corresponding video footage, simply select the thumbnail image that is of interest. If the face spotted was not this person, select the three dots on the thumbnail, and select Not This Person.
From the search bar in the top left-hand corner, you can filter for options to narrow down your search.
Setting Person of Interest Notifications
To set up notifications when a particular face is detected, select the profile and click the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the page and select Make Person of Interest. A bell icon is then shown on their feature photo.
To disable notifications for that particular face, click the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the page and select Remove Person of Interest.
For more information on Person of Interest notifications, see this page.
Creating Profiles
You can manually create a profile by uploading an image of a person's face. To do this, select Create Profile on the top right-hand corner of the Profiles page and follow the steps. You will need to ensure that the image you select clearly shows the face of only one person (close up). The image should be in JPG or PNG format and should be less than 15 MB in size.
If you upload a picture that resembles an existing profile then Command may suggest a profile to add the image to. If the picture you are uploading is of an existing profile you can select it to add this picture as a reference photo. If not, select create a profile to continue creating a new profile.
Merging Profiles
Sometimes duplicate profiles are accidentally created. If this is the case you can merge the duplicate profiles into one. To do this, select the profiles you want to merge by using the checkboxes on the top left-hand corner of each face and select Merge into one on the bottom right. The profiles will then merge and you will be given an option to view the new profile for that person.
Finally, you can merge profiles by changing the name of a profile. If the name you would like to assign to a profile matches the name of an existing profile, you will have the option to merge the two profiles into one.
Profile Tags
You can create and add tags to profiles to group similar profiles together. To add a tag to a user's profile simply select the profile and select the + Add Tags button in the top right-hand corner. If the tag you want to add is already in the list you can select it from the list, if not select Add Tags to create it.
From the Profiles page, you can filter by tag name by selecting Tag: from the search menu and select the desired tag. This will bring up all the associated profiles.
Deleting a Profile
To delete a profile, click the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the page and select Delete Profile.
To learn more about how individual faces are identified, see this article on people analytics.
Vehicles
From the All Products menu select Cameras then Vehicles.
From this page, you will see all the vehicles sighted on cameras in your org. Selecting a thumbnail will play a clip from the camera this vehicle was sighted on.
From the search bar in the top left-hand corner, you can filter for options such as camera, site, date, etc. to narrow down your search.
LPR
If you have Verkada LPR cameras installed you can switch to the All License Plates and License Plates of Interest tabs.
On the All License Plates tab you can view all the license plates detected in your org and how often they were detected.
By clicking on a license plate it will bring up all the recent sightings of this plate. In the top left-hand corner you can select the + License Plate of Interest button to receive alerts whenever this plate is spotted.
On the License Plates of Interest tab you can view all the license plates that have been marked for notifications and filter out all other plates.
