Installing security certificate for Offline Mode in Chrome on Mac OS 

The security certificate can be installed in Keychain to make it available to Chrome on Mac OS.

  1. On your Profile page, find the section Offline Mode and click Download Certificate if you haven't downloaded it already.
  2. Open Keychain Access 
  3. In the menu select Import Items
  4. In Finder, choose the "VerkadaOfflineMode.crt" file you downloaded from Verkada Command
  5. Click Open to save the security certificate in Keychain
  6. In Keychain Access under Login, find the certificate with "private.verkada-lan.com" in its name
  7. Right-click the certificate and choose Get Info
  8. Expand the Trust dropdown
  9. Choose Always trust in the When using this certificate dropdown

Installing security certificate for Offline Mode in Firefox on Mac OS

The security certificate can be installed using the Certificate Manager in Firefox to make it available on Mac OS.

  1. On your Profile page, find the section Offline Mode and click Download Certificate if you haven't downloaded it already.
  2. Open Preferences
  3. Find the section Privacy & Security
  4. Click View Certificates, under the section Certificates 
  5. In the Certificate Manager popup choose the Authorities tab
  6. Click Import
  7. In Finder, choose the "VerkadaOfflineMode.crt" file you downloaded from Verkada Command
  8. Click Open to save the security certificate
  9. When the You have been asked to trust a new Certificate Authority (CA) popup appears, check the box Trust this CA to identify websites and click OK
  10. Click OK
