This article will go over how to manage both shared SMS or URL links as well as manage embedded streams. Administrators can forcefully expire the links or embeds before their preset expiration date. This can all be done within the Verkada command center.

To share live streams via SMS or a URL (or as we call it "Live Links" use this knowledge base article:

Manage Live Links

First, in Command select the camera for which you’d like to manage the Live Link for.

Then, select the "Share" icon (looks like a box with an arrow coming out of it)

When you open this, you will see a "Manage links" button on the lower right side of the pop up. Click on "Manage links"

Note: This works for both the "By SMS" tab and the "By link" tab because they both utilize the Verkada Live Link feature

This will open up the "Manage Public Links" menu. Here you will see all the different links and who they were sent to as well as when they are set to expire. Hovering over the entry will expose a blue down arrow on the right side.

Clicking on this blue down arrow will give you the ability to:

  • preview (which will open a new tab and show you what the viewer would see)
  • edit (which will give you the ability to change the expiration date or edit the recipient's name)
  • copy link to clipboard
  • revoke (this will expire the link immediately and void all access to the live stream from that link)

Manage Embeds

This is very similar to the "Manage Live Links" feature, but has a different button.

First, in Command select the camera for which you’d like to manage the Live Link for.

Then, select the "Share" icon (looks like a box with an arrow coming out of it)

Select the Embed tab

When you open this, you will see a "Manage embeds" button on the lower right side of the pop up. Click on the "Manage embeds" button

Here you can either "Revoke" the embeds access to the live stream or you can revisit the iframe code which is used to deploy the embed externally.

To revoke, just hit the "revoke" button
Then "confirm" the revoke

To view the embed code incase you lost it. Click on the "view code" button

This will bring up a text box which you can copy the embed iframe from.
