Learn how to setup your GW31-E as an Access Point to enable Point to Point networks
The GW31-E Outdoor Wi-Fi Gateway makes it simple to deploy Verkada anywhere with power and Wi-Fi, including hard-to-wire locations such as parking lots, fence lines, and outdoor premises.
Using the GW31-E in Access Point mode turns the deployment into an all-in-one solution. It removes the need for external procurement, simplifies installation, and lets customers manage the entire connectivity stack from a single pane of glass.
You need Org Admin permissions to activate and configure a gateway.
Configuration
After setup, the GW31-E operates in Station mode by default.

In Verkada Command, go to All Products > Gateways.

Select the gateway you want to configure.

In the top right, click Settings.

Under Network > Select Access Point from the dropdown.

Hit Apply, then Confirm to save.
Your gateway will display an Access Point badge next to its name, indicating a successful configuration.
