Verkada is announcing the end-of-sale of the [AD31 Door Reader](https://docs.verkada.com/docs/access-control-ad31-quick-start-guide.pdf), to be replaced by the [AD32 Door Reader](https://docs.verkada.com/docs/door-reader-ad32-datasheet.pdf).

## FAQ

### What does this mean?

As of March 20, 2022, we will no longer sell the [AD31 Door Reader](https://docs.verkada.com/docs/access-control-ad31-quick-start-guide.pdf) for net new installations. All existing orders for the AD31 will be fulfilled. Verkada typically provides support for a given product for a period of ten (10) years after the end-of-sale date.

### Can customers return an AD31 that they have purchased?

Customers may return AD31 *within 30 days of purchase*.

### What happens if an AD31 under warranty needs to be replaced?

We will replace AD31 units with an [AD32 unit](https://docs.verkada.com/docs/door-reader-ad32-datasheet.pdf).
